In 1992, Drysdale’s School Of Tae Kwon Do opened and became the first accredited ITF –International Tae Kwon Do Federation- school in Southeastern Michigan.

Under the guidance of Master David D. Drysdale Sr. VII Dan and his wife Joan VI Dan they maintain a highly disciplined and structured school. The Traditional Art of General Choi Hung Hi – Father and Founder of Tae Kwon Do – with its discipline and regimental training, is taught at Drysdale’s School Of Tae Kwon Do. We instill Love for God, Country, Family, Friends, and Humanity into the hearts and minds of our students. Honor, Integrity, and Courtesy are the foundation of our students as they journey into the  World of Tae Kwon Do.

Here at Drysdale’s School Of Tae Kwon Do students encounter a world of physical fitness, self-defense, and challenges beyond their wildest dreams. Patience, Perseverance, and Self Control become a part of their everyday life style. Training becomes an integral part of our students’ lives and way for them to handle the stresses of everyday life in the 21st Century.

Students will learn self-defense techniques, free sparring, jump kicking, takedowns, lock up techniques, throwing techniques and much more during their Tae Kwon Do Journey. They will enjoy working on coordination drills, balance drills, ground fighting skills, stretching and strength training.

Our students’ confidence increases as their skills become more proficient. They acquire an awareness of their surroundings and situations enabling them to avoid or deal with physically and potential violent situations.

Tae Kwon Do is not a Sport, Playground or Day Care Center. Tae Kwon Do is a “Way Of Life”. All of our students, young and old, are required to maintain protocol and procedures at all times.

Our Instructors are well versed and qualified in handling all the needs of our students. Young people who may have ADD or ADHD will find Tae Kwon Do as an aid in helping them in their lives.

Humility and Respect are the Way of Tae Kwon Do

Enjoy The Journey
