On Friday June 20^th, 2008, Master Robert Wheatley VIII Dan was the head Examiner for a Black Belt Test at Drysdale’s School Of Tae Kwon Do in Riverview, Michigan. Ten students tested for ranks ranging from I Dan to VI Dan Black Belt. All the candidates were promoted to their next rank level. Congratulations to all. Also, Doctor David L. Wolf of Trenton Michigan was presented an Honorary I Degree Black Belt for his contributions and support of Drysdale’s School Of Tae Kwon Do.

 

On Saturday June 21^st, 2008, Master Wheatley was the guest Instructor for a Masters Specialty Seminar hosted by Master David D. Drysdale Sr. VII Dan and Mrs. Joan M. Drysdale VI Dan. Students came in from New Jersey, Mississippi, Ohio, California, Pennsylvania, and students from Master Batch’s school in Midland, Michigan. The seminar focused on power, understanding the blocking and striking zones of TKD, dodging techniques, twisting kicks, pick shape kicks, self defense techniques, and breaking. Everyone came away with a greater understanding of technique in Tae Kwon Do.

 

After the seminar the Master Instructors, students, and guests attended a banquet to enjoy good food and meeting new friends in Tae Kwon Do. Overall an event that all will remember in their Tae Kwon Do Journey.
